A fabulous pencil drawing of the crashed Zeppelin L15, the first Zeppelin brought down by the British in WW1 on the night of March 31st 1916. She was shot down by an Anti-Aircraft Battery in Pufleet, Essex and after ditching the radio and secret paperwork in the Thames She finally crashed into the Sea off Margate, Kent.
The Picture shows an attempt to tow L15 to shore for scrapping but She broke the tow lines and sank. Parts of her were later washed up and turned into hundreds of small souvenir pieces.
