A wonderful 1921 Pen and Ink Drawing of a classic Steam Locomotive.
The LNWR described itself as the premier Line as it was the first Railway to link London, Birmingham and Lancashire in the first big Railways expansion in the UK. it also earned more money than any other Railway Company of its era.
The LNWR became part of the amalgamated London, Midland and Scottish (LMS) two years after this Picture was drawn in 1923.
